Jason wrote a glowing page describing me as a "living legend"

J and C training - Hanging out with living legend Tom Grundy

Raquel wrote up this over the top but glowing profile of me...

Before there was YogaSlackers there was a Tom. He calls himself Tom Grundy although this legendary figure can be referred to as Badass Grundy, THE Grundy Man and Safe Our Lives Grundy.

YogaSlackers all over the world have summoned him whenever a life threatening situation is foreseen. The survival of team members in the three TooMuchFun Expeditions, Nahanni River Trip, YES Tour and YogaSlackers B Team Appearance in the 2013 Patagonian Expedition Race is directly linked to his existence.

Tom fully embraces the YogaSlackers lifestyle. He practices all YogaSlackers principles: yoga, acroyoga, slacklining, conditioning and adventure. There is nothing he cannot do and little he cannot master.

In 2012 he formalized his union with YogaSlackers by participating in the third teacher training. This formality allowed us to fully claim his badassery as a YogaSlackers’ trade and we are really happy about that. We also get to summon him more often.

Not only is he an amazing climber sponsored by Evolv, slackliner, runner, paddler, photographer, builder - and did we say badass at everything else enough times? - but he cooks too. In an era filled with food allergies, preferences and weird needs, he steps outside of the box and claims himself to be an opportunivore. His preferred foods are those with a 100% discount and can be harvested in the back of groceries stores around the nation.

After 13 years living in his truck he decided to convert a church into his home in Bishop, CA. YogaSlackers around the world are now summoned to a yearly gathering in the Church of Grundy. There, they learn how to become badasses too.

Some believe he has super powers. Others believe he is directly related to Chuck Noris. Being one of the most active human beings on the planet, he is hard to find, but you can easily follow him at @TGrundyMan, http://tomgrundyman.blogspot.com, and http://www.electricant.net/grundyman/index.html
